It's a nice local pet shop with a decent selection of small animals, birds, reptiles, and aquatic. They also do pet grooming. The staff is friendly and super helpful. I plan do do more business with Carm's Dog House.

Went down to Carm’s to grab some substrate in a pinch for my ball python, and they’re so knowledgeable! All of their animals are locally bred and sourced, and they have a great selection of pet supplies for anything under the sun. There aren’t any pet shops downtown so it’s an awesome boon for us.

Our two dogs go to Daycare and they could not be more happy! They know what days they go and are barking to get in the car! Staff are wonderful and truly love the animals they interact with and the animals love them back. We love logging on to see the photos of all the play.

This place is awesome, it has everything you could think of to keep dogs busy all day long including an inground swimming pool on the bottom floor. And on the ground level there is everything type of pet supply you could think of. Carmen hit this one out of the park!

I walked into Carm’s Dog House expecting a quick visit… but somehow, I ended up on what I swear felt like a full-blown African safari. The moment the door opened, warm air rushed past me like the start of a savannah breeze. I froze—because right there, in front of me, was what I thought were wild safari creatures. Except… they were a lot smaller. And fluffier. A herd of hamsters scurried across their habitat like miniature gazelles. A trio of guinea pigs chattered like distant jungle stories. The elegant chinchillas bounced around like cloud-soft antelopes, and a python—thankfully much smaller than the anacondas my mind imagined—rested calmly in its enclosure like the world’s laziest jungle serpent. Even the fish swirled around their tank with the grace of a river crossing migration. I stood there absolutely convinced I had wandered into some exotic expedition. But then I blinked… and realized I was in the most charming pet store I’d ever been in. Just when I thought the adventure was over, one of the staff members asked if I wanted to “see the real excitement downstairs.” Safari instincts kicking in, I followed cautiously. And that’s when I discovered the twist of the century: A full doggy daycare paradise hidden in the basement. Dogs of all shapes and sizes were happily playing, lounging, and living their best lives. It felt like I had stumbled into the secret watering hole where all the local wildlife gather in peace. The staff treated every dog like royalty—gentle, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. By the end of my “safari,” I was laughing and completely charmed. Carm’s Dog House is not just a pet store… it’s an adventure wrapped in kindness, care, and pure joy for animals. Highly, highly recommended. Five stars all day.
